Built in the Czech Republic in late 2017, this stunning Furch D40 guitar is presented in overall excellent condition.
While not well known in the UK, Furch has been making guitars since 1981 and offers outstanding value for money. Also marketed under the Stonebridge brand, this exact model is now discontinued, as is the D40 designation. The design remains available from Furch under the 'Voilet SY' name, but only with a sitka spruce top. As a result, this may be the only guitar of this type currently available anywhere in Europe!
With a solid Western Red Cedar top, layered mahogany sides, and a cleverly arched, layered mahogany back that requires no bracing (as with some Taylor instruments), this guitar is very responsive, with great volume, strong bass response, and excellent projection.
This guitar has been upgraded with the addition of a hand-carved, custom intonated buffalo bone saddle and pearl dot ebony bridge pins. These modifications can be returned to the original specification on request.
Virtually unmarked, save for a minor ding to the treble side of the lower bout, as can be seen in the images.
Supplied in a quality Stagg hard case.
